One of the most important functions of education is to develop the personality of the individual through a perfect blend of academics and co-curricular activities. Education teaches a student about the significance of his life to himself and to others. Hence, it defines his role as a responsible individual in society. BNL promotes the holistic learning of our students by focusing on a dynamic combination of knowledge and skills. Our programme is designed keeping in mind the latest teaching and learning strategies which focuses on individual student profiling. Our academics and extensive co & extra-curricular enables students to become creative, analytical and inquisitive thinkers, along with becoming resolute, empathetic, ethical and globally aware individuals.
The IT facilities available at BNL are worthy of a special mention as they aid our students to use digital technology and tools which enables them to create knowledge and information in order for them to effectively share ideas and collaborate with others locally and internationally. A well-equipped, supervised room with IT facilities for independent and group study is available to aid students’ learning needs at A-Level. We offer a wide range of subjects, including pre-medical, pre-engineering, business combinations along Media Studies, Art, Sociology, Law, History, Government and Politics to mention a few. The Access Centre plays a significant role in offering subject selection and career guidance to our students and parents. By facilitating students to make correct decisions regarding their subject selection, we widen their scope along with making them realise the importance of being independent individuals who shoulder their responsibilities. We also offer on-campus SAT classes to facilitate our students, a proud initiative of our Access Centre.
At BNL we have interesting student led societies such as Dramatics, Media & Arts Societies to mention a few. There is also an extensive and pro-active Debates and MUN society where targeted coaching is provided to our students which has led them regional and national acclaim. BNL A-Level also holds its own MUN “NewMun” on a yearly basis. Our sports programme under the guidance of an able manager who works closely with our Sports Society is largely responsible for our students winning great laurels for the school. BNL students have won many inter school competitions including the recent intra-region girls table tennis championship and we were runners up in the intra-region football championship.
In a nutshell, academics will always remain our primary focus, but we offer ample opportunities for our students to positively develop in other ways. Providing educational excellence, students at A-Level are also encouraged to participate in sports, debates or become a member of the students’ council in order to become all-rounders in all spheres of life.
